you would be correct. the test pilot, Rudy Opitz, is still alive in
Stratford CT. used to work at AvCo Lycoming, the folks who put
together the engine for the venerable vietnam era Huey - all based on
designs by German WWII engineers.
he has regaled us with tales of fuel spills (neat unstabilized H2O2)
that would burn thru flesh on contact. of pilots that crashed and
literally burned. the hydrazine was of way less safety importance
.
