Buying a Microscope

I am interested in getting a microscope and have never bought one before.
I'm in 9th grade biology and wanted a good microscope to use for school. I
am looking into getting the Meade Model 9460 Microscope and was just
wondering if that would be a good microscope for a beginner. Also would it
be able to last me awhile or would I have to buy a better microscope when I
do more difficult stuff.
