I've never heard of geosmin. Is this a compound or a gas? We just smell
'em and report 'em :-).
It's a compound -- a terpene type. Actually has a fairly high boiling
point, but the odor threshold is listed as 0.1 ppb.
If you have a Merck Index, it is in there. Or google for structure.
