Terrific lead as to what certain comets are all about:
http://www.earthfiles.com/news/news.cfm?ID=960&category=Science
Clearly indicating that an icy proto-moon of something Sedna like could
have been much like our 4000 km icy moon as having delivered the
necessary tera tonnes worth of much needed ice and whatever life
within, as to finishing off the geological and DNA/RNA formula that
essentially gave mother Earth it's oceans and atmosphere as being quite
different from the original CO2/S8 worth of having been so geologically
hot and nasty (Venus like).
Of course, that 4000 km icy proto-moon that I'm suggesting may have
been as little as that of an 3600 km icy moon, somewhat less if a few
tens of thousands of rather sizable Kuiper/Oort zone worth of icy items
delivered their payloads of sequestered ice and the seeds of complex
life within. Although, that original source of Kuiper/Oort zone of such
icy debris may have extensively belonged to the nearby Sirius star
system.
>6) Water (Tempel I is about 50% water ice)
This should have been published as:
6) Water (the surface of Tempel-1 is about 50% water ice)
In fact, all of the elements are those derived from less than 0.1%
depth of the comet, thus the pumice, porous basalt or possibly icy core
of Temple-1 is still very much up for grabs.
