Though I still mostly think that it's the internet evolving.... Or

People want to post pics, not links to pics. People seem to want to
interact with their locals more than the guys across the planet.
Manufacturers (for good or bad) use it as an outlet to push their
product, under the premise of promoting the sport. Some shops are
doing the same. Local clubs have forums. Even the weatherman got in
on it and is apparently making it work well... How often has he been
that right? Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if there are windsurfing
Twitter groups out there.
There's a lot of competition for the attention of windsurfers. And
flash seems to get the attention, even when there's a lack of
substance.
In my case, I like it here. Though the weather is going to get more
of my attention very soon.
