The Iwindsurf models around the Northern Utah area are laughable,
if they at least took in orthographic lifting, thermal masses,
and the topography, they'd have the direction
right more often at or near the local sailing sites.
And there really is no forecast. Now maybe if they'd make me
a deal like they did George............... ;*)

How do you all rate iWindsurf? Sounds like many of you enjoy the
self-forecasting, something I don't particularly care to do. All the
pressure gradients and isobars confuse me. I don't put much faith
into translating them into sail sizes, especially when there is not
much variability over large regions. And they are not much for
predicting seabreezes. I guess I just prefer to let the professionals
do it. We have a lot of iWindsurf sensors where I am so maybe that
makes a big difference too.

Speaking of the SF Bay Area......
We DO need to keep track of the coming weather. Whether a radio, TV,
newspaper, or whatever, anything is better than nothing.
However, I see more people with pagers and weather radios MISSING the
wind than the guys who ask them, then decide to windsurf or not.
All reporting sites show wind at least 15 minutes ago.
Most cannot predict accurately what it will be by the time you rig
and suit up.
If you think it's windy enough, rig.
If it's still windy, suit up.
If it's still windy, go out.
