Happenned to me twice at CrissyFields, once on a full strong ebb,
once slack water, just before flood.
Both times, I let the tail section float away to whereever it wanted
to go, and sailed nose pointing back to shore, waterstart position, non
planing of course. The rocker of the nose acts like a small fin, so
directional wasn't too hard to control.
Lost tail sections, lost fin, 4 straps, and the foam pads, as both
times, it broke between the mast track and the front straps.
