Problem with a Sony CCD-VX1E

Hello,
I recently bought such camera. I get a clear and stable image in the
viewfinder but on the video out the image is saturated (red/orange)
and sometimes flickering. In reading a tape (recorded on another
camera), the image is also saturated. Unfortunately I have no
documentation (for the moment) ! I would like to know whether it is a
real problem or simply a misconfiguration.
