I've got a funai VCR, model 29D-850 with 6 heads. When I record a video
tape in LP mode and try to playback it on the very same VCR, the picture
is going up and down, it's noisy and colours are terrible. The tape is
not damaged 'cause when I record in SP mode and playback it, everything
is fine. This VCR does auto tracking, it is possible to fine tune
manually through channel +/- button, but when I do that, it doesn't
improve the picture at all.

Does anyone know what is going on? Am I doing something wrong?

What happens with SLP mode? Perhaps the heads are dirty, worn or out
of alignment.
