If it is any Model of SONY we can help on Spare parts and service
manuals.
The other brands are lacking in parts and technical support compared to
Sony.

I have a few camcorders with tape transport issues that have been
running for years for watching the driveway. One is on a tall pole
with heavy plastic draped on it, and the other is in a plastic box with
a cover to run off rain. Bugs come and go and the one on the pole will
get condensation if you turn it off at night and start it in the
morning ( You get a greyscale image like photoshop bass relief for and
hour). So it is left on all the time. Brands are GE (tompson
electric), panasonic, JVC, full Vhs ones are Sears, Ge, and so on. The
camcorders have better night and picture quality than your cheap
security camera kits, and are cheaper to. This info is for those who
wonder if you can run the video and audio of a retired cam continuously
for years. ( The JVC fell in the pond and all rebin contact had to be
cleaned because I never bothered to dry it out )
