Hello all,
Hey I just got the Dish Network 2 days ago. Cool stuff.
Anyway, I got the package with just 2 tvs hooked up.
But right now am sitting in my office and wishing I had it hooked up
in here too.
Is there a way to split the signal and run it to the tv in here.
the Dish Network is hooked up to my bedroom and living room.
so if I am in the office then obviously not watching in the bedroom so
seems like there would be a simple solution. :)
I have the DP322 reciever. With 2 remotes.
I don't mind if it's the same channel as other tvs.
But can I buy a remote to change the channel in the office or use the
remote from the bedroom?
If the signal can be split, where do I split it? Cable off the
bedroom or before the reciever.
Thanks in advance.
oh, the reciever has an UHF antenna on it (if this is vital info)
You can split the cable (at the back of the satellite receiver or anywhere it is convenient) that runs to the bedroom. Just use a two way cable splitter and be sure to use high quality RG-6 cable for the run to your office. You can use the remote from the bedroom or you can by the same type of UHF remote on your favorite auction site. Just an FYI: you can not split the cable before the receiver (the one that goes to sat in) It carries the signal from the satellite dish and can't be viewed on a TV.
