Riiiight. And I bough a pair of "High Quality" computer speakers
at the dollar store last month. For a dollar.
Note also that the kind of quality you will get via USB is almost
certainly lower than you would get from (for example DV over
Firewire).
Firewire usually carries DV25, while USB usually carries MPEG2. The degree
of "quality" is of course in the eye of the beholder.
Since the OP is reporting that conventional USB webcams are
NOT high enough quality for his requirements, we already have
a reference point for "eye of the beholder".
