I'm looking for a utility that will allow me to take a video (with no
sound) and merge a sound file (of any format) to it. So far, I've only
seen utilities that support WAV. I need others like OGG, WMA, etc...
It can be a free program or one that you have to purchase. I don't
mind.
Like if I have a WMA audio file. I want to "merge" it with an AVI
file. Windows Codec Editor doesn't allow that and I can't get it to
work with VirtualDub either.
I'd look for audio software that does file conversion to wave or whatever
file your video non-linear editor (Virtual Dub for instance) wants. That
should be easier to find than NLE software that takes the variety of audio
file formats you wish to accommodate. Switch Audio File Conversion Software
is one that handles the file formats you've specified. Total Audio Converter
is another. A Google search of shareware/freeware should turn up a few
dozen others.
