I'm trying to edit some video where I have alternatively 16:9 and 4:3
shoots.
Looks to me that is not possible. All I get 16:9 is ok ,4;3 looks ok
but in 16:9 mode with 2 vertical strips. I want to fill whole screen
with 4:3 footage. Is it possible?

You will either need some Aspect Ratio Conversion (ARC) software or
hardware to convert the 4:3 clips to 16:9. Do some Googling...

Download Celluloid from the VASST site at http://tinyurl.com/rupa8 as it
will do this conversion for you (along with 24p a couple of film look
options).
It says $25 but it's actually free. You will need to register to be able to
download it.
