You can import bitmaps into AI, so you could prep your stuff in PS and import it.
AI is a LOT different than PS, but the type stuff is pretty simple. If your layouts are type-intensive, you shouldn't have much trouble.

The disc duplication service I am planning on using requires that the packaging and printing graphics be supplied on their templates and produced by one of a list of graphics programs. The list doesn't include Adobe Photoshop, which I have and am familiar with, but does list Adobe Illustrator.
My question is: how difficult is it to use Illustrator, given my experience with Photoshop? I don't want to have to spend a couple of weeks to
translate the graphics files to Illustrator format, as I have a deadline of the end of the month. Since I am looking to work with this service in the
future, I would prefer to get Illustrator. The other alternative is to use duplication service's ability to process the existing graphics into their
format, for a fee.
