Burning vs Replication

Hi I am running a small video production company doing weddings and
other events where final format is DVD. I have done a few projects
already before my initial start up with mixed results. I have looked
for the most compatible disc that is inkjet printable and after
reviews i picked the TY Watershield DVD-Rs. After burning about 20
copies of a project for a hopeful client, many of the discs came back
unreadable in their dvd players but ok in their PCs.
After this project, while watching a tutorial on Lynda.com, i heard of
the differences between burning and replication, where the
compatibility was way higher with replicated discs than just burned
from pc, especially on dual layer DVDs, which is what i hope to use
for larger projects.
The question is, how does one go about replicating dvds? Is this what
disc duplicators do or are these just like burning the disc with just
more drives and do not offer the compatibility of replicated discs.
The compatibility of the discs are crucial to my business.
Any help
Thanks
Mark
