I tried an experiment and it seems to have worked, though WHY I cannot
say.

I took a recorded disc that DOES load and finalized it. It would appear
that the mechanics of finalizing had a beneficial effect on the machine
(strange?), for then I took a disc which hadn't loaded for months..and
after the "little wheel" spun for about 5 minutes...it loaded! So I
finalized it, and it reloaded. Then I tried another UNloadable disc and
IT loaded too!

Weird? or what?

Just a thought, next time it weirds out on you, unplug it for a few minutes,
then try again.
Its Amazing what regenerative properties this has on many machines, from
satellite receivers to microwaves.
