"Confusing" is right! Doesn't help that the manual doesn't distinguish
between "Pictures" (except when it mentions "Moving pictures") and "Images"
(which it doesn't refer to as "moving images" so it seems reasonable to
think that it means "still pictures").
So now I have a short shopping list which I hope my credit card can
tolerate - 1 x Firewire card for desktop machine, 1 Firewire cable for
camera to desktop machine, 1 x Firewire cable for camera to laptop
(different type of socket on the laptop (wonder if I can get a card with a
small socket? Grrr!) and some image transfer software. Might give the MS
stuff with Pinnacle Studio 10 a crack.
