Re: Changing Region Code for Sony RDR-GX355 or Yamaha DV-C6760

The DVD plays just fine on my computer at work. It just doesn't play on any of the 3 DVD players I have at my home, connected to TVs.

If your PC does NOT ask whether you want to change it's region
to match the region of the DVD, yet it plays the disc with
no attending messages, then I would guess that the disc you
are playing is A) coded to region=0 or to your region
already, but B) it's a PAL disc that your PC can play
but your DVD player (NTSC) cannot.

Note well: Many low-end, el-cheapo, Phillips players play both
PAL and NTSC discs out of the box, and can easily be hacked
(unkind word!) to play all regions. Check 'em out.
