Thanks - might try it - but do they filter out anything that you DO want
to see?
Rather unlikely. Besides NNTP is a peer-to-peer, best-effort,
store-n-forward system. It has NONE of the guaranteed delivery
handshaking protocols of services like SMTP (email). The point
is that there is no guarantee of ANY Usenet message being
propogated to *your* server. Random Usenet messages likely
get dropped all the time. Not something that concerns most users.
If you need reliable communications, use email, not Usenet. Email
is like putting a stamped envelope in a government mailbox. You
are virtually certain of delivery. Usenet is like pinning a note to
the bulletin board at the supermarket. No guarantee that it will
stay up for any length of time, or be seen by anyone.
