Huh?? That makes no sense at all. Knowing what NLE or
other software was used to process the video and audio,
would have no impact on what you could do with it, after it
is made. The resulting movie/clip is what it is, no matter how
it was made.

It makes perfect sense. What if someone wants to make a two second change?
Are they supposed to go
back and re-edit the entire project when all they have to do is cut that clip
out, or change the
lower third of another shot. If you give the rendered product to someone, it
will be useless if any
content has to be changed and it will have to be done from scratch.

I'm with you 100% Tony.... understand exactly where you are coming from..
But.. I bit the bullet and bought a Mac to run FCP on... to be quite
honest I couldn't have built a quad Zeon processored PC at the time for
much less money...
