2 Tuners... Can they be used???

I have Vista Media Center and this is what I would like to do.
Watch one channel while recording a different channel with VMC.
For example Ghost Whisperer must be recorded because in my house that
is one of my wife's favorite shows. However at the same time Everybody
Hates Chris is on and I want to watch that show. Is it possible to
have VMC record GW at the same time I am watching EHC???
Here is what I have in terms of capture cards.

Hauppauge 1600 (which I normally use for recording TV)
&
VisionTek TV Wonder HD 650

Now when I go to setup VMC TV tuner I let it do it automatically
instead of manually. Is this the best way???
I have a set top box as well.
The set top box is connected to the 1600 via svideo (which by the way
works perfectly)
Attached to the HD 650 is a standard coax from the wall with no set
top box connected to it.
Now, when I let VMC check the tuners automatically this is the message
I get...

" 1 tuner detected and configured. Additional tuners were detected but
will not be configured because either they do not have a matching TV
signal or any TV signal at all. "

Am I doing something wrong or is what I want impossible? I thought
with 1 tuner what I want to do would be impossible but with 2 tuners I
thought I could do what I want. I would appreciate any help from the
experts on this group on what I need to do to get this solved. I am
hoping for the positive. I tried to give all the info I thought you
might need. If there is more you need please ask.
