Great, another problem: after pass 1, when I choose pass 2, it crashes
more often than not. This doesn't happen with the video I mentioned
before but it does happen every time with other video that I am
trying. I have tried to change options here and there but it is always
the same. Any ideas?? Thanks!

Hi,
In order to try deshaker, I recorded a video with my photo camera of a
printer's display (what can be steadier than a machine?) from a short
distance. After lots of tinkering, I haven't been able to figure out a
good set of parameters to make it shake less. In fact, no matter what
I do, when I preview the output of pass 2, it seems exactly the same
as the original! (I know that the plugin does _something_ because the
zoom option works). In particular, I set the four "motion smoothness"
values to -1 hoping this would make it completely steady; it wasn't
the case. I played with most options in pass 1 and pass 2 and I don't
see any improvement... I would appreciate some advice other than the
author's guide.
I have put the video here in case someone wants to play with it:http://rapidshare.com/files/137545307/MVI_8019.AVI
Thanks in advance,
David
