analog capture with adobe premiere

I'm a new user of adobe premiere, was a pinnacle studio user for
years.
Daughter recently got a basic camcorder for her birthday, but it has
no usb or firewire out, only analog. She wants to use it to create
videos, add some titles and basic special effects, and post to
youtube.
My camcorder has firewire; no problems there, but I'm not familiar
with how to capture with Permiere from analog sources.
I have a Kworld USB capture doo-dad which I've been using to transfer
some old VHS tapes to DVD with the tools that come with it. I'm
wondering if Premiere will capture from the Kworld thingy or if I have
to buy some other capture solution. If the latter, suggestions for an
affordable capture solution would be welcome.
