NERO avi download files



My nero 6.something or other, is having problems with some AVI? divx
files ive downloaded. Usually, it proceses the files with the green
bar, then i can go in and edit. But some files are "uploaded"
without the green bar showing the progess, and though it says they are
there, theres nothing but a black screen when i try to edit.

If i upgrade to the newest version would this help?

windows movie maker does upload and allow editing but its very slow,
and im not a fan of it.
