Do you know a program, which will be able to record stream from the
Windows desktop, but WILL BE ALSO ABLE TO AUTOSTART AND RECORD FROM
THE MOMENT OF STARTING OPERATING SYSTEM ?
Sorry for my English ;) and thanks in advance for your help

Probably not. The operating system has to start before it can
launch any auto-start programs.

Your best bet would likely be to aim a camera at the screen.

He could try attaching a VCR or Personal Digital Recorder
to the "TV out" of his video card, then setting it up to clone
the desktop display/monitor.

But do they depend on loading Windows drivers to enable the
"TV out"? That has been my experience in the past. The boot
process must depend on the lowest-common-denominator
default modes stored in the BIOS.

Perhaps not always, I know that I can see the startup
including the post display on both a VGA output to a
CRT monitor and the DVI output to my projector; for
my HTPC setup. For some cards it might be that the
TV Output is simply always providing an output of the
main display, without need for OS intervention, just a
built-in function of the card and its hardware and
firmware. Like they just use a chip to intercept one of
the intermediate video signals and format it for TV then
output it to the TV Out connector all the time.
** This is not the case for my HTPC's card, but could
be for some other card**

BUT, I can't get my TV output to work right so that
I can test it out. It will work fine each time I set it up
but I can't get it to hold the settings that clone the main
display to the TV. I need to try it sometime with a
different driver control panel, the ATI cat is what is
not working for me. I have the ATI Tray Tools and
I could set it up on the HTPC system, it might let me
get that working that way.

Of course if your Vidcard has a spare VGA output,
you could run that through one of those little VGA>
TV converter boxes (scan converter).

It looks like you can use one of these inline with the VGA
output to you monitor, so you don't even need a spare
output on your Vidcard.

I had no problem having my desktop cloned to two
monitors, a VGA and a DVI.

Luck;
Ken

PS You could use one of this type HDD enclosures, that
are able to record your video.

Google for "DVR PVR HDD Enclosures" (without the
quotes) to find the one that best meets your needs.
