They don't seem to be overly particular about the tape. I'm wondering if I should use HD tape.
The most frequent recommendation is to just pick one brand of tape and stick with it. Different tape brands use different lubricants and hopping about can potentially cause you problems. Picking a known brand will also have the advantage in that you can likely pop into a local store and pick up additional stock in a pinch.
