Fair enough...

2) A proper answer requires more detail than you provided.

...which I would have been willing to provide if I could be informed
as to exactly what details are required.

Which you would have also seen by using the Google Groups
archive to read the several other discussions about exactly
the same question.

To be fair, you only asked IF it was possible.
You did NOT ask HOW to do it.

We know absolutely nothing about you or your situation except
what you wrote, and that was three very short sentences.

We didn't know if you are asking if it is possible becuase you are
trying to determine which software to buy, or if your REAL question
is "how do I do this" and we should have "read between the lines".

One of the nice things about Usenet is that even if you don't get
the kind of response you want (from me, for example) there are
usually a variety of responses from other people with different
perspectives (or with more patience?) I apologize for my behavior.
I resolve to be more gracious in the future.

Many groups have developed FAQ lists, but these groups (r.v.d &
r.v.p) never have. Even the groups chartered for far less dynamic
topics than video have a struggle keeping their FAQs up to date.
Anybody who is sufficiently up on the technology likely doesn't
have the time to participate in maintaining a FAQ list. OTOH, at
least for the topic of video, there are whole websites specialized
in keeping a sort of "super FAQ" like www.videohelp.com, et.al.
