Dvd made by Nero Recode grows in size

Ok here is a mensa club puzzle of the week.

I have authored some DVDs with Nerovision Express 3 that
are too big for a standard 4.7GB disk, telling NVE to build the video
on
the hard disk.

Then used Nero Recode to shrink it to fit on the DVD.
The Dvds come out fine, they play fine, etc. Of course
they're so full you can't see any region of unburned area
on the disks.

Well, then I copied these disks to the hard drive of another
computer so I could burn copies from it. But after copying
them into the hard drive they show up as 4466 megabytes
on this machine whereas, the setting that Nero Recode
used to burn the original Dvd displayed 4459.

Now the 2nd machine cannot burn the DVDs without doing
another cycle of Nero Recode to shrink this mysterious
7 megabyte bloat. I don't want to wait for the burn. I just
want to click on BURN AT ONCE and have my disk.
