I've downloaded a demo version of Adobe Premier Elements 2 to have a play
around with before I decide to purchase. I have figured out most stuff,
but what I just cannot figure out is how to cut FRAMES from a clip. As an
example of what I want, check out this screenshot
http://shivs.12freeukisp.co.uk/ap.jpg
As an example I've traced a red box around the portion of the frames in
the clip that I want to "select" to delete (20 - 22 seconds in), so I wand
to delete approx 2 seconds worth of frames from within the clip.
Premier's help seems to talk about CLIPS this and CLIPS that, but I don't
want to delete clips (I already know how to do that) I want to delete
FRAMES from within a clip, and do it accurately. This is starting to
drive me insane!
Please can someone explain to this desktop video newbie how to do it in
easy steps :)
Until someone who uses Elements shows up;
Most editing packages let you zoom in on the timeline
even to just showing just one frame per thumbnail. You
should be able to zoom to a point where there are, say
sixty thumbnails across the screen. Then scrub to the
first frame of the clip ( clips are made of frames ) that
you want to remove, set it as the start of your clip/selection.
Then if your video is PAL and 25 frames per second and
you want about two seconds that would mean you need
make and remove a clip of about 50 frames. So scrub to
that point and set the end of your clip/selection.
Luck;
Ken
