I have made a movie that has an avi exentsion and tried to edit it in
Movie Maker, but for some reason cannot separate them into clips. so to
cut out some scenes. Is this possible in MM?
How did you "make the movie"?
Where did it come from?
Can you play your AVI file on your computer?
What codec does your AVI file use?
(You can use the Gspot utility to analyze)
I do not understand about codec for avi file...isn't avi a codec? From my dvd and yes it plays on my computer with my avi file player
I checked gspot and as for video format codec it says n/a
but at the bottom it says the following: Direct show render
Source:MEDIASUBTYPE_MPEG2_PROGRAMing
Video Media:MEDIASUBTYPE_MPEG2_VIDEO
Audio Media:MEDIASUBTYPE_MPEG1AudioPayload
Video codec: Ligos video decoder->Overlay mixer 2
Audio codec: Ligos audio decoder
Splitter/other: Ligos MPEG Splitter
I'm sorry I made a mistake calling it an avi file, because my tv tuner
recorder ATI recorded it in the avi format, but after I tried to
convert it to mpeg and did.
Gspot status says: File is mpeg ( Mpg/mpeg/vob)
So thats it. Any advice would be appreciated:)
