I totally agree with you here William, This nappy dude is one of the
biggest clueless people on this newsgroup. But hey, everyone needs a
village idiot for entertainment once and a while, and this guy provides a
lot of it for this group.
yak-yak.
I guess I nailed it here.
I wonder what his spin on Premiere coming to OSX again, will be.. I
can't wait to hear this one, the backtracking should be mildly
entertaining at best.
It would simply mean that FCP will finally have competition on the mac.
That's all.
And there's nothing else but FCP?
there's AVID. No Premiere, no Vegas.. etc..
Let's just analyze who is clueless here.. You're suggesting that hundred
of millions of pc users will now buy macs and thus kill off Windows?
Well.. that's simply brilliant. And clueless.
No.. All the people that are grouped as "on-the-fence" will start buying
macs because this is the final straw (so to speak). A chance to try out
both sides.
I think they wouldn't go buy a mac to do what they are already doing on a
PC. Windows on a mac will be attractive to more OSX users than Windows
users.
Followed by the next group of "early adopters". These guys are easy to
spot, they like new kewl things, and are not afraid to take a risk.
And, unfortunately, "The Winzellots" are a really tough bunch. You know
the type, the ones who hang out in the IT department closet where you
work. And you dread calling them for yet another windows computer
problem, because they make you feel like your bothering them. They are
the same ones who claim there is nothing wrong with a good win98 machine!
You'r ereferring to a MS or IT department at some corporate cubicle world?
Thankfully I haven't had to deal with that world for over a decade. You do
know that IT departments routinely deal with both Mac and Windows support
and generally try to keep users from modifying machines for many good
reasons. no mattre what the platform, UNIX, Windows, OSX.. they have the
same users to deal with and they prefer it when things go right. Most of the
time these poor saps are simply trying to get people to learn to use the
software they have.. Ps.. it is spelled 'zealot'
This will be the hardest group to come over, because they base their
entire living off your misery, and in their world, they are GOD. Asking
them to step down will be next too impossible, so the best that anyone can
do is watch their jobs slowly dwindle down and perhaps they might just
disappear.
Not sure what you are getting at here ... step down? My misery? This is a
twisted take on the people who have to support mindnumb corporate users on a
daily basis. Judging from your rant.. you have no idea what they really do..
Hey.. come to think of it.. your one of those types.
Hey come to think of it.. you're still clueless.. Try and keep the
discussion to relevant points about Windows on a Mac. Not me.
