This is too easy.
Most news sites using Flash to stream video now by converting the video to a .FLV file. they can then program a flash player to play these videos though flash. The video is actually downloaded to your hard drive automatically, and placed in your cache directory.
Once you've watched the video, you have it. Trick is to figure out what file it is.. I use Mozilla, and it scrambles the names to things like, DEFG532CDd03.
I cleared my cache, went over to the fox site, then watched a few videos. Easier to find because the video files are usually the larger files. Once I find them, I rename to .flv.
I've heard of some flv to avi/mp4 converters on the market I haven't tried them, but I cant imagine your going to get a great video because it's massively compressed, and any more working with it is simply just going to degrade further.
