Convert PCM to MPEG in MPEG video

I have 15 home movies encoded in MPEG2 video and PCM sound. I would
like to play those movies thorugh my Xbox360 Media Extender but that
currently does not support PCM playback of MPEG video (I guess becuase
the sound is uncompressed it takes up a lot of bandwidth), it only
supports MPEG Layer 2 sound. What I would like to do therefore is to
convert just the sound portion on my videos from PCM to MPEG Layer 2 so
that I can watch the movies with the sound. I don't want to re-encode
the video portion as it degrades the picture quality. I really a
newbie and I can't find a utility or method of accomplishing this task
so would very much appreciate some help.
