I would like to distribute a DVD. I don't mind if people copy it and re-distribute it, but I want to make a reasonable attempt at keeping casual users from *changing* the DVD's content and redistributing the changed result. I realize that this probably wouldn't deter a technically savvy or determined person.
If this would be troublesome with DVD, I suppose any container that would allow the content to be viewed with VLC would also be fine since I can distribute that player for most platforms with the video.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Cheers,
best option is to watermark your video.. or stick a "dog" on it.
Yeah, I guess that's what I'll do. I don't want to "ruin" the look of the final product. I just want to do what I can to slow down the process of someone else hacking up the footage and then re-releasing it. Certainly, a technically savvy person will be able to do it anyway. I'm perfectly fine with people sharing the footage and passing it around. I just want it to be MY work and not the product of someone else's tinkering.
