Re: Memorex Dual Format DVD Recorder won't play video

You may want to try updating your VGA driver. Also, you may want to install
the latest DirectX version, if you have not done so. Check the settings on
that IDE channel. Right click on My Computer and select Properties. Select
the Hardware tab then the Device Manager button. Hit the + next to IDE and
right click on the IDE channel where the drive exists and select Properties.
Now select the Advanced Settings tab. In the dialog for the drive location
set the option to PIO. If this does not work set DMA if available.

You may want to select the action taken for the types of discs inserted in
the drive. Go to My Computer and right click on the DVD drive then select
Properties. Pick the Autoplay tab and see if any of the old programs are
linked to types of discs inserted. I usually choose the option of 'take no
action' for each entry so I can have free run to choose whatever I wish
whenever I wish.

Though these things I have mentioned may not be the answer they are a good
way to tech out all the options in order to find the root of the problem.
Keep me posted and maybe we can straighten this one out for you.
