The focus thing would be a deal killer, so I'll have to ask them about
that.

The Sanyo looks nice, but its price is almost twice as much. The one
price I found that was only 50% higher is from one of those Brooklyn
shysters, which I avoid.

These gadgets are going to get much cheaper, so I thought I'd get a
low-cost one for now, and then maybe upgrade in a couple of years.

Having a camcorder that fits in my pocket and will presumably be
durable because of few moving parts are two attractions. I also like
having a camcorder that records directly to a compressed format.
