OK One more thing on topic of HDV, i just read where Sony's Vegas uses the
CineForm codec to capture and convert directly from the iLink into a
"visually perfect" Digital Intermediate AVI file that can be edited in Vegas
with ease.

So i am beginning to see two approached here, the DI and the Native
formatting being used in different editing packages,
I wonder which approach will come out ahead?
They both claim better quality.
