Re: digital video recorder that records directly from tv set a/v output?

Hmm, any idea when and why the DMR-EH50 fails to record some schedule times?
I received a unit two days ago and have had it skip the same show both days.
Most other test recordings have been okay, just one show scheduled the first
day by manually entering the time and channel, and the second day the show
selected off the TVGOS method (after it successfully downloaded) were
skipped. I did have one other scheduled recording fail to start until I
manually turned on the unit with the remote, at which time it started
recording.

So far I like this model but having it occasionally fail to record with no
sure workaround isn't acceptable and it will have to go back if there is no
clear understanding of why and at least a good workaround. Until I read
this post, I thought it was something I was doing wrong, but now I'm not so
sure.
