Yeah... what Richard said.
Seriously - the ADVC series (I've had an ADVC-100 for around three
years now) are wonderful. I literally have never had a single instance
of video / audio being out of synch - with the exception of cases where
it was already out of synch on the original video tape.
A little secret about the ADVC devices ~ they come with the option of
"locking the video and audio" so they remain in synch. Every now and
then I found that I would get dropped frames. A fellow ADVC-100 owner
recommended that I switch that option off. I did so - and I haven't
had a dropped frame since, and the video and audio are still always in
synch after capture. I don't have an explanation for it - I just know
it works.
