We'd like do some hiking and biking, but also city and nice dining.
Like most of our trips, we expect to be doing a lot of walking and
physical stuff, followed by eating and maybe drinking too much. :)
Any recommendations on things to do and see? So far, planning to dine
in the space needle and doing some coastal 12 mile bike trail - but we
are flexible on days. We will have a car and will likely be flying in
and out of Seattle. I'm okay with driving as much as 3 hours on a few
of the days.
Thanks for any info!
very expensive. Seattle has some great restaurants...don't waste a
meal up there, but do ride up and take in the views...
The boys might enjoy the Experience Music Project - my 14 yo grandson
plays several instruments and he really got into the displays,
especially the very old and original guitars and their history...Where
are you planning to bike on the coast?
Portland is 3+ hrs by car, depending on traffic, so if you are going
there factor that in...
City: the obvious tourist things - Pike Place Market, waterfront,
fish ladder at the Hiram Chittendam Locks, Boeing Museum of Flight.
If you are here the first weekend in August the hydroplane races are
happening on Lake Washington.
There are tons of hiking opportunities, also biking.
