CA heat wave has not truly broken, though it is 20 degrees cooler than
it was. September is our hottest month of the year, though mild by AZ
standards almost any time.

A lot depnes on how close to the ocean you are and whether the
marine layer has moved in.

I live a block from the Pacific Ocean in San Diego and my son lives
across the city. He finds where I live always much cooler than where
he lives. There are several micro climates in San Diego.

As a former resident of the SFBay Areaa I'm quite familiar with
microclimates. When we lived in Pacifica we lived well up the
valley behind Linda Mar where it was usually sunny, but we could
see the fog down the street and sure enough it could be damp and
miserable down by Hwy 1, about 1.5 miles away.
