Taxes refunded upon return to US from Canada

Ok, a successful drive/trip to Montreal Canada.
I want to apply for a refund of lodging/hotel taxes paid and I obtained the
appropriate forms.
I have my hotel bill which breaks down all of the appropriate charges and
taxes.
My bill also includes those charges for when I ate meals in the hotel.
Do I need to exclude the meal charges from the totals I list on the tax
refund form or do I just tally all appropriate taxes on the bill and submit
the amount along with my bill to the taxing authorities?
Thanks,
Walter
