Camping at South Rim Grand Canyon - Help/Info needed

Hi,

We are planning for a camping at South Rim of Grand Canyon this
September long weekend. We have already reserved a campsite in Mather
South Rim. Since this is our first camping trip, we need some info from
this group.

Our plan is not exactly to hike rather to move around in car and
ofcourse not to miss the sunrise and sunset. Want to what is the best
route we would follow in the canyon.

Regarding the camping , we need some info on
1. What food we should carry?
2. Do we need any Pest Repellants?
3. We are carrying a tent and enough water. Any other necessary stuff
that we must carry.
4. What's arrangement of cooking (Atleast boiling water)?
5.Do we need to take precautions against bears, snakes, or any other
potential harms?
