I stayed at Fitzgeralds on Fremont St in '03. I've forgotten
who I booked through - but it was a good, clean hotel, with
the obligatory downstairs casino, standard comfortable rooms
and bloody cheap - US$35 per night at the time. Step out the
door to the "Fremont Street Experience" (which, personally,
I preferred to "the strip" for nostalgia reasons).
I just found them on the web - apparently now $49 and often
sold out, but you could try through the various booking
web-sites.
