I just thought I'd post a comment on transporting an Airstream trailer.
I was asked by one of my clients (I run a mobile auto and boat detailing
company) to help them sell a beautiful 34' Airstream Classic Limited. I
lined up an anxious buyer but needed to get the rig from Portland OR to the
Stockton CA area. I called everyone I could that did any sort of transport
as well as the regional Airstream dealer - and no one, not one person could
refer me to someone that could haul this rig down there. Several transport
companies I called had disconnected numbers. Finally got hold of a company
run by a sharp young guy that had 15 drivers hauling all sorts of trailers,
etc. and he had the trailer down to Stockton in no time and it cost less
than $1500. I was flabbergasted because several people told me it would
cost closer to 3-4k. Here's the info if anyone can use it.
