the beauty of rural england is in the villages, byways and moors andor a 'challenging' drive across incrediblethats the way to go.
countryside on incredibly bendy and slow roads.
mountains, not on the motorways or railway lines. I think you have to
decide if you have the time to enjoy those rural routes
The "scenic route" between Edinburgh and south-west Scotland
via Moffat is the only road in Britain that's made me carsick.
Enjoyment didn't feature very much.
