That would be fine, but a number of people here claiming to have that
type of knowledge just seem to be moaning about Wiki rather than doing
just that.

Well no.

It needs to people who run the thing to change the software.

To do just what?

Impose a system of peer review.

It's not difficult.

Just about every other serious publication manages to do it.

Paid for by whom? Wiki is completely free and pays nothing. Just
where is the money going to come from?

Who pays for the servers it runs on?

Who pays for the communications links?

Nothing on the net is free.
