Just wondering about buses to Positano. We are travelling to
Naples, overnight there, then we want to visit Pompei next day
and stay that night in Positano. I see trains from Naples to
Pompei and back again are only around 25mins travel time.
So I guess we could get the train back to Naples from the Pompei
day trip and then get a bus to Positano. Is there a direct bus
from Pompei to Positano, or do we /have/ to go from Naples?
Or are we better off substituting Salerno for Naples? Isn't it
easier/quicker to access Pompei from Naples?
Several choices.
Go to Sorrento, take train to Pompeii, take train back to Sorrento,
take bus to Positano.
Go to Naples, take train to Pompei, take train to Sorrento, take
bus to Positano.
There are also ferries at Naples, Sorrento, and Positano so
at any of those points one can get to another. We took a bus
from Naples to Ravello, but if I had to do it over again I'd probably
take the Ferry to Amalfi or something.
