And it's not just temperature, it's temperature, humidity, and air
movement.
In cold weather you can just add heat; indeed, you can simply
insulate
and
that's enough. Hot weather is more complex. In cold environments,
you
work
with nature; in hot environments, you must work against nature.

Some 25 million people live in Bombay and its suburbs.

It's a real city then! :)

About 11 million haven't even got fans.

They do die now and again from the heat, but not in the numbers
you're
suggesting.

When I was in Delhi, I read reports in the papers of a few people dying
from the cold. Apparently it almost got as low as freezing a few
nights!

The climate in Delhi is very odd indeed.

People there have to withstand up to 45C in summer and need to own decent
winter clothing as snow is not unknown there in winter.

What caught me ought several times was being in the daylight
temperatures of around 20C, to have it fall to 8C in an hour or os of
the sun going down. Brrr..

The outgoing US ambassador to India made a comment last year about how he'd
grown up in Phoenix in Arizona and though it was hell because of the
weather, until he went to Delhi...

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe.
Barbeques on fire by the chalets past the castle headland
I watched the gift shops glitter in the darkness off the Newborough gate
All these moments will be lost in time, like icecream on the beach
Time for tea.
